Abandoned Acadiana Series
The Abandoned Acadiana series is the first series of videos in the Abandoned Archives, focused mainly on historic or abandoned structures/properties and their history. Most of which are located in the southern part of Louisiana known as Acadiana. Below are the currently released chapters in order.
Chapter 1 - Iberia Sugar Coop.
This chapter covers the remnants of a large abandoned sugar mill known as the Iberia Sugar Coop. located in New Iberia, Louisiana. 4K footage from both air and ground of what is left of the property, including a giant smoke stack. Narration of the video courtesy of David Thibodeaux.
Chapter 2 - Charles Boldt Paper Mill.
In this chapter, we take a closer look at an abandoned paper mill built in the 1920's known as the Charles Bolt Paper Mill, located in New Iberia, Louisiana. Beautiful footage of the grounds that contains large buildings, catacombs, a smoke stack, and professional graffiti. Narration of the video courtesy of John Derise.
Chapter 3 - Holy Rosary Institute.
This is the third installment of a multi chapter series we are calling "Abandoned Acadiana". Chapter 3 features The Holy Rosary Institute in Lafayette, Louisiana. Holy Rosary Institute was originally founded in Galveston TX. in the late 1800's and later built a private school for African-American women in Lafayette, LA. in the year 1913.
There are future plans to turn the abandoned property into a thriving community center. Work has already begun on the property.
Chapter 4 - Fort Proctor.
Chapter 4 features what looks to be a castle in the middle of the ocean. However, it is actually an old abandoned military fort from the 19th century, right here in South Louisiana. Please subscribe and share if you enjoy it! Thanks.
Chapter 5 - Oil.
Chapter 5 is a first hand look at the remains of an old oilfield company in Breaux Bridge, LA. We tried something different with this one, and it is a little more un-cut/raw footage of us exploring it. Yes it is in HD, even though YouTube may open it in 480p. Chapter 6 - Cabin in The Woods.
This is the 7th chapter of our Abandoned Acadiana series. This chapter features a beautiful, abandoned house in the middle of the woods somewhere in Broussard Louisiana.
